Leicester has regular buses services, not only for the city centre, but the numbers 80 and 80A also run between Halls of Residence via O2 Academy Leicester and St Margaret’s bus station and the number 30 and 30A from Charles Street. For more information on getting around by bus, just click here.
During term time, O2 Academy Leicester has free buses between the venue and Oadby Halls of Residence for its student club nights (twice a week).
National Express has links from other cities, including those that don’t have direct rail links (Coventry). National Express coaches and the X7 bus stop at St Margaret’s bus station, which is on the other side of the city.
The number 80 leaves St Margaret’s every half an hour and goes past O2 Academy Leicester and the University to the Halls of Residence in Oadby.
When returning, the 80A has roughly the same route (without stops at the railway station or city centre).
Leicester railway station is close by at just over 1,100 metres away with direct rail links to London, Birmingham, Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby by East Midlands Trains.
Accessible facilities at Leicester railway station can be found at National Rail. The main entrance has step free access and lifts to platforms. You’ll also find details low level counters, indication loops, toilets (radar key) and staff support.
We’re easy to get to by all major approach roads, including the M1, M69 and A6 and our postcode for sat nav is LE1 7RH.
There’s some street parking on University Road that’s free after 6pm, but it fills up quickly on how show days.
If you’re driving, the nearest pay and display option is the car park on Granville Road, LE1 7RU is run by the City Council and about 600 metres away.
Our venue is at Leicester University’s Percy Gee building and on a campus.
